Actress - Singer - Author

Hi! My name is Julia, and I am currently an undergraduate student at Salve Regina University studying theatre, creative writing and publishing. I currently live in Rhode Island but will always have a soft spot for my hometown in Connecticut. I grew up with books in my hand and a love for reading, writing, and all forms of performance for as long as anyone that I know can remember. In my free time- besides reading, writing, and being on stage- I love to scrapbook, travel, and fuel my out-of-control coffee addiction!

Singers: Taylor Swift & Sabrina Carpenter
Drink: vanilla chai with espresso, caramel & almond milk
Songs: All of the Girls You Loved Before & Piano Man
Musicals: Into the Woods, Anastasia & Legally Blonde
Albums: The Tortured Poets Department & Man's Best Friend
Books: If He Had Been With Me & If I Had Told Him by Laura Nowlin
-Theatre Program Cordinator and Professor at Salve Regina University
"Julia brings heart and complexity to every performance she embodies. As a director I always look forward to working with her because I know she'll dig down deep to find the humanity in characters most people would miss."
-Music educator and musician
"I taught Julia for a number of years prior to her leaving for college, and recently was able to coach her again for an audition. It was wonderful to hear how her voice has matured! Julia has the kind of voice that is able to sing pop and country easily transitioning into Broadway. She's young and has great potential to explore the Broadway voice as a very high coloratura. She is smart in her learning process and understands what she can do with her talent. I think Julia has a wonderful career ahead of her and I look forward to hearing her sing again."
-Professor of Literature and Film at Salve Regina University
"Julia Gearing is a passionate, engaged student who values analysis, critical thinking and creativity in equal measure. She's the kind of student you love having in class, and I have no doubt that she has a great future in store."
